DES MOINES, Iowa (Nov. 4, 2024) — Active Interest Media (AIM), a leading special interest media company serving enthusiasts and professionals in the home, writing and collectibles markets, has promoted two executives and created a new leadership sales position.
Adam Smith has been promoted from CFO to CFO and COO. He will continue overseeing finance, accounting, planning and treasury while adding oversight of the consumer marketing and audience development team led by Erica Moynihan. Smith will also support the IT, Development, and Production teams led by Andrew Shattuck, Ashley MacDonald and Phil Graham.
Rob Yagid was promoted to Senior Vice President, Brand Director. He will lead product development across all AIM brands and will report to Andrew Clurman, President and CEO. “Since joining AIM in December of 2023, both Adam and Rob have distinguished themselves as extraordinary executives and contributors to AIMs recent success.” States Clurman, “In their enhanced roles I have great faith they will have a major impact on our continued progression.”
In addition to these executive level changes, the company is making improvements to the sales organization; Alex Robertson has been named Sales Director and Publisher for the Home Arts Group, reporting to Michael Burns, Senior Vice President of Sales. “Alex has been a tremendous contributor since joining AIM, leading revenue growth across our woodworking brands,” Clurman said. “He’s built strong relationships with clients, strengthened collaboration across teams, and helped expand our digital and event opportunities.”
