National Park Journal Wins Three First-Place Magazine Awards

On Oct. 9, 2018, National Park Journal received the highest honor in the publishing industry three times by winning three first-place awards and one honorable mention award at the prestigious Eddie and Ozzie Awards Ceremony held at the Hilton Midtown in New York City.

Nearly 350 industry professionals gathered in the Trianon Ballroom at the New York Hilton Midtown to celebrate the Eddie & Ozzie Awards for excellence in magazine editorial and design. Brands from all across the publishing space submitted more than 2,500 entries, competing to take home gold across 33 categories.

Surrounded by the best minds and publications in the industry, National Park Journal staff won three first-place Eddie awards and one honorable mention.

National Park Journal, Grand Canyon edition “Land of Enchantment” section won first place in the CONSUMER category of ADVERTORIAL/SPONSORED CONTENT. Honorable mentions included Food + Wine, Gear PatrolNational Geographic + Rowe Price and Redbook.

National Park Journal, Grand Canyon edition won first place for FULL ISSUE in the CONSUMER TRAVEL category. Honorable mentions included Travel + LeisureBusiness Jet TravelersEndless Vacation and Washington State Visitors Guide.

National Park Journal, Grand Canyon story on the Hualapai bird singer, Luka Montana, won first place for Q&A/PROFILE in the CONSUMER category. Anglers JournalCosmopolitanWriter’s Digest and Knowable Magazine received honorable mentions.

National Park Journal, Grand Canyon edition received honorable mention for BEST MAGAZINE SECTION in the CONSUMER category. Redbook won first place. National Park JournalGrand Canyon, along with (Oprah’s magazine) and Playboy, received honorable mention awards.
