Boulder, CO. (March 12, 2020) Active Interest Media is pleased to announce an exciting new addition to the Yoga Journal team. Effective immediately, Tracy Middleton will step into the role of Brand Director, leading the team to create more robust consumer- and yoga-focused content across all channels—print, digital, social media, events, and online education.

Headshot Tracy Middleton_400Middleton comes to Yoga Journal with extensive experience in magazine and content publishing spanning more than 20 years. She’s best known for her work at Hearst, Inc., where she was health director for Women’s Health, the world’s fastest growing women’s magazine brand with more than 35 million global customers. Prior to that she held positions in which she oversaw strategic planning, content creation, and distribution across multiple channels for Rodale, Inc. and Dennis Publishing titles.

“We are thrilled to have Tracy join our team,” says Group Vice-President, Sharon Houghton. “Her background is equal parts editorial and multi-channel marketing/strategy, which makes her an ideal choice to move Yoga Journal to the next level.”

A long-time yoga practitioner, Middleton is eager to engage with the yoga community to find creative ways to bring the message of yoga to a broader, more inclusive audience. “I’m excited to bring my love of yoga, as well as my creative and business expertise, to help this iconic brand deepen its connection to consumers. The power of yoga to bring people together and to heal communities is worth celebrating. I’m honored to step into my role and help YJ meet the needs of modern yogis while respecting the deep roots of this ancient practice, both on and off the mat.”
